The late afternoon buzz at the 8th edition of the Asia Startup Summit 2026 felt less like a formal gathering and more like a living ecosystem in motion. On 8 April 2026, founders, investors, and corporate leaders converged under one roof—not just to exchange business cards, but to explore how ideas could evolve into real, scalable impact.

Organised by the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, with support from the Singapore Economic Development Board, Team France Export, and La French Tech Singapore, the summit reaffirmed its reputation as a bridge—connecting innovation with opportunity, and ambition with execution.

Innovative Solutions from 40 Startups

From the outset, the energy was unmistakable. Over 150 participants representing 80 companies filled the venue, each bringing a distinct perspective on what the future of business could look like.

The 8th edition of the Asia Startup Summit 2026 was designed not just as a showcase, but as a carefully structured platform to turn ideas into real business conversations. The first half of the summit focused on visibility—over 40 startups took the stage and exhibition spaces to present their solutions, each offering a glimpse into how they are tackling challenges across industries. They spanned across industries and geographies, while 125 curated B2B meetings quietly powered the real engine of the event: meaningful, targeted conversations.

Introducing Gleematic AI Agents: Fixing Bottlenecks in Finance

Our CEO, Christopher Lim, took the stage to present Gleematic AI Agents as a solution to fix finance bottlenecks.

Positioned at the intersection of automation and decision-making, we introduced our smart AI Agents as more than just tools. In a space often crowded with promises of efficiency, the narrative shifted toward capability. These AI Agents are designed not only to eliminate repetitive, time-consuming finance tasks—such as reconciliations, report generation, and data extraction—but also to take on more complex, judgment-driven responsibilities.

The idea is simple, but powerful: what if finance teams could operate not as bottlenecks, but as strategic enablers?

Intelligent Finance Operations with Gleematic AI Agents

Through live discussions and demonstrations, attendees saw how our AI Agents could “think” through workflows, “act” on structured and unstructured data, and “deliver” outputs comparable to a high-performing finance team. The conversation moved beyond automation as cost-saving, toward automation as augmentation—freeing human professionals to focus on strategy, risk, and growth. Rather than treating processes as isolated steps, our AI Agents operate like a coordinated finance team. They plug directly into existing systems—ERP platforms, email, spreadsheets—without requiring disruptive overhauls. This “plug-and-play” approach means organisations can enhance what already works, instead of rebuilding from scratch.

Our AI Agents move beyond rigid, rules-based automation. They can interpret unstructured data—emails, invoices, contracts—understand context, and make informed decisions. In practice, this transforms some of the most resource-intensive finance functions such as accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, financial reporting, forecasting, fraud detection, budgeting and more.

What makes this especially relevant is the growing complexity of finance operations. As businesses scale, so do their systems, vendors, and transaction volumes. Traditional automation often breaks under this complexity—limited to predefined rules and siloed processes. Designed to coordinate across systems, one agent can trigger another, creating an interconnected workflow that mirrors how a high-performing finance team collaborates internally. It is automation that adapts, rather than automation that needs constant reconfiguration.

Behind this capability is experience. With over nine years of expertise in automating accounting and finance processes, our team brings a deep understanding of both the technical and operational nuances of finance. This is reflected in how the platform is built—not just for efficiency, but for real-world usability in finance environments where compliance, accuracy, and traceability are non-negotiable.

Exchanging Ideas and Opportunities in Business Matching

The networking became the true engine of the event. Here, conversations deepened. Startups, including us, engaged directly with corporate representatives and investors, moving beyond pitches into practical discussions—how solutions could be applied, integrated, and scaled within real business environments.

It was in this setting that ideas became tangible. Founders discussed pilot opportunities with corporates. Instead of speaking broadly about innovation, founders demonstrated specific use cases, exchanged insights on industry pain points, and explored potential collaborations. Investors leaned into emerging sectors. Corporate leaders sought solutions that could be implemented, not just imagined. The curated nature of the networking sessions ensured that these were not random encounters, but meaningful exchanges aligned with business needs and interests.

What made the summit particularly compelling was its ability to turn abstraction into action. “Innovation in action,” as echoed throughout the event, was not just a tagline—it was visible in every handshake, every product demo, and every follow-up meeting being scheduled in real time.

Our Takeaways

The 8th Asia Startup Summit ultimately reinforced a simple but critical truth: innovation does not happen in isolation. It thrives in environments where startups, corporates, and investors are willing to engage, experiment, and evolve together.

And as solutions like ours continue to redefine how businesses operate—particularly in functions as critical as finance—the gap between vision and execution grows smaller.

As we reflect on our experience at the Asia Startup Summit 2026, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the organizer, for organising such a meaningful and impactful platform. We are equally grateful to the fellow startups, corporate partners, and investors we had the opportunity to connect with—your insights, conversations, and openness to collaboration made the experience truly valuable. We look forward to continuing these discussions and building partnerships that turn ideas into real-world impact.
