On 24th -25th June 2018, Glee Trees team became one of the exhibitors at the 10th BankTech Asia that was held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, Malaysia.

We had partners from JOS (Jardine One Solution Malaysia) and Ephesoft who were present to support us for the event. BankTech Asia was officiated by the Deputy Minister of Finance Malaysia, Dato’ Ir. Haji Amiruddin bin Hamzah.

We met more than 200 delegates from various departments such as IT, trade finance, consumer loans, compliance, and other roles from Malaysian banks, regional and international banks over these two days. We were happy to have met potential customers for our core product, Gleematic A.I. Robotic Process Automation software. Potential customers included Agro Bank, Bank Negara Malaysia, CIMB Bank Berhad, Citibank Berhad, Kuwait Finance House, Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd, United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd, and many more.

A lot of speeches about the use of technology in banking were delivered during the two days of conference. There was a speech that was very relevant to to Gleematic. It was delivered by Mr Dominic Wu, Managing Director and Senior Risk Manager on Asia Pacific, BNY Mellon. Mr.Wu talked about the incorporation of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) in risk and compliance. As one of the benefits of RPA is improved accuracy, RPA will reduce risk and increase compliance in the banks.

Glee Trees’ team also had the chance to demonstrate how Gleematic A.I. RPA tool could assist in some tasks for banks. The Gleematic software-robots can help to automate banking processes such as KYC (know-your-customer processes) and AML (anti-money-laundering processes) processes, loan approval, accessing the CRM, remittances, and even customer service and marketing.

After getting to know many representatives from Malaysian banks and financial institutions, we are better poised to penetrate deeper into Malaysian market with our Gleematic artificial intelligence RPA tool. We are optimistic that we will soon have more customers of Gleematic in Malaysia. Our team also enjoyed Malaysian food during the two days of exhibition, at the iconic KL Twin Towers and enjoyed the new sites.
