Seminar on AI Employees

The seminar featured speakers who shared their expertise and insights with the attendees. The first speaker, Mr. Christopher Lim, CEO of Glee Trees Pte. Ltd., drew upon his extensive experience as a serial entrepreneur and global business manager. Christopher Lim provided an introduction to the concept of a digital worker and emphasized the importance of automating work processes to enhance productivity.

Christoper Lim’s Sharing

During his session, Christopher Lim addressed the “How, What, and Why” of utilizing digital workers. With administrative work accounting for approximately 40% of our time, he stressed the need for automation to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Furthermore,  presented real-world examples of how Gleematic AI, as a digital worker, can automate tasks such as Data Extraction, Predictive Analysis, and Facial Recognition. Christopher Lim also highlighted the integration of ChatGPT. ChatGPT serves as a conversational interface, employing natural language processing (NLP) to deliver human-like interactions. This combination of ChatGPT and AI automation can potentially revolutionize the implementation of digital workers, allowing for more intuitive and interactive experiences while automating tasks and decision-making processes.

Christoper Lim’s sharing on AI Employees

Christopher Lim emphasized the importance of considering AI workers as a solution to the challenges posed by repetitive and tedious tasks in the workforce. With the growing difficulty of recruiting and retaining staff for such monotonous work, employing AI workers can help augment human capabilities and alleviate the burden. When choosing an AI tool, Lim highlighted several key factors to consider. These include the individuals who will work with the tool, the methodology employed for deployment, the working environment, and the availability of multi-language options.

Christopher Lim also emphasized the need to “think big, but start small” when implementing AI solutions. By taking incremental steps, businesses can gradually introduce AI workers and assess their impact. In response to concerns about job displacement, Christopher Lim suggested a proactive approach of re-designing, re-assigning, and re-skilling workers affected by AI automation. He drew a parallel to historical transitions, such as horses losing their jobs to cars because they couldn’t learn new skills. Lim emphasized that while some jobs may disappear due to AI, new technologies will also create new job opportunities.

Ultimately, it is up to humans to adapt and seize these opportunities, considering that many of the jobs that will be automated are the ones that people generally find unappealing and mundane.
