Description of Problem:

Medical Claim Process:

The Insurance Company required various documents to process the claim. There are 2 scenarios for this process. The first one is when the claim was triggered by an incident. The customer would go straight to the hospital and the staff from the hospital would send the claim request to the company. The second one is when the claim is triggered on policy maturity. In this scenario, customers may send the required documents through the system provided by the Insurance Company.

  1. Staff needs to manually check if the documents are complete.
  2. Staff needs to enter the information manually into various I.T. application that are not connected to one another, which is very time consuming.

How Gleematic software helps:

  1. Gleematic is able to retrieve the data from the required documents.
  2. Gleematic then enters the relevant info into the various I.T. applications.
  3. With Machine Learning, Gleematic is able to validate the data through multiple systems.

Challenges:

  1. Scanned documents cannot be copied easily. We managed to use the OCR tool to convert the document before doing the extraction.
  2. The client uses some of non-text parameters to validate the data (e.g. logo, image, etc.). We can use the image recognition technology to overcome this.

Benefits:

  • Shorter Time of completion: Gleematic cognitive automation works up to 5 times faster than humans.
  • High Accuracy: Almost 100% accurate. There would be no human-errors of missing data, uploading wrongly, or having duplicated files in the archival process.
  • FTE Saving: ~3 to 4 FTEs
  • Saves precious hours of humans: As the human-users would only have to monitor the robot’s progress, he/she can spend most of his/her time on other more important things.
  • Reduced stress on staff: As the staff (humans) need not attend to this mundane and repetitive yet detailed work, they would have less stress and be more motivated to do other value-added jobs.

Description of Problem:

This client had to input data from numerous policies, in PDF format, into a Windows Sockets system manually before processing them. It was a slow and tedious process, and our client also highlighted the lack of an overview dashboard of the process status.

How Gleematic software helps:

  1. Gleematic can extract the required information from documents, using intelligent document extraction functions, and provide an Excel file to work out an overview dashboard.
  2. Gleematic was able to transfer data set from an Excel file to Windows Sockets system within minutes.
