Taking Second-Prize at Kunshan Innovation & Entrepreneurship Challenge: Singapore leg
Gleematic team emerged as Second Prize winner at the Semi-Finals of Kunshan Innovation & Entrepreneurship Challenge 2020! It was co-organized by Techbridge Venture and OTEC and was held on 28 February 2020 at Enterprise Singapore’s office at Fusionopolis. Our team competed against other entrepreneurs and other promising start-ups based in Singapore.
Participants in the Challenge had the opportunity to meet and interact with investors based in Singapore and presented their technology to government and Kunshan industry officials through closed video conferences.
We received positive comments about Gleematic from the judges as follows:
- In commercial terms, the judges mentioned that “the value and promising address of the market of the project are clearly defined. The business model and profitability are demonstrated and viable. The market entry strategy is clear and feasible.”
- In terms of technology, they complimented “Gleematic has an innovation that has a deliverable solution for a clear need.”
- They also commented on Gleematic is an excellent team with strong capability and experience, and that “the project has a detailed plan for development”.
Our Founder, Mr. Christopher Lim, represented our team at this event. Each participant received a certificate from Techbridge Venture and OTEC.
The winners in this event received cash prizes. The top Three Participants in the Singapore Semi-Final Round each received: First Prize of $ 1000, Second Prize of $ 800, Third Prize of $ 500.
This challenge was open to newly-set-up companies, SMEs, and Researchers based in Singapore, with technological innovations from strategic industries such as AI, Automation and Robotics (Software and Hardware), Clean Technology / Renewable Energy, Advanced Materials, Medical Devices, Optoelectronic.
Two selected winners would be invited to take part in a fully sponsored trip to Kunshan in June to meet with local industry collaborators and participate in the Grand Finals.
Our team hopes that the COVID-19 situation will improve by June and that we can get selected to travel to Kunshan, China, to speak with potential investors, partners, and prospective customers.
