We get to have site visit to multiple companies in Indonesia!
We took part in the The 37th edition of ASEAN Innovation Business Platform (AIBP) conference & exhibition in Indonesia that happened in 1-2 November 2022. Read more about the 2-days event here.
The program also included 2-days of site visits to multiple companies in Indonesia, especially Jakarta, from 3-4 November 2022. The objective of the visit is not just to connect to potential partners and customers in Indonesia, but also to learn, network, and exchange views.

Site Visit to Kalbe Farma
PT Kalbe Farma Tbk, or simply known as Kalbe, is an Indonesian pharmaceutical, healthcare and nutrition company established in 1966. The company has expanded by strategic acquisitions of pharmaceutical companies, becoming an integrated consumer health and nutrition enterprise. Kalbe is the largest publicly listed pharmaceutical company in Southeast Asia with around US$5 billion in market capitalization.

We visited Kalbe Farma in 3 November 2022. They introduced their company profile and we had gallery-viewing tour to their factory. They also shared their digital transformation journey, which led to open discussion among them and some of the technology players and innovators that were present in the visit.

Site Visit to Jakarta Smart City
Jakarta Smart City serves as a catalyst in creating a 4.0 smart city ecosystem in Jakarta. They play the role as the connector between the citizens as co-creator and the government as collaborator.
Jakarta Smart City is the application of smart city concept that optimizes the utilization of ICT. This is the purpose to understand and control various resources in the city with more effective and efficient in order. This way, they can maximize public services, providing solutions, and support sustainable development.
Jakarta Smart City Management Unit works under the Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Department under Jakarta Capital City Government to develop Jakarta into a smarter city.
We visited Jakarta Smart City in 3 November 2022. In the lounge tour, they showed the technologies they use to manage environmental issues in Jakarta. For an example, traffic and flood. They are open to new technologies to help them manage environmental issues in Jakarta better and faster.

Site Visit to Mattel Indonesia
PT Mattel Indonesia is a worldwide company and a leader in toy business. Mattel is the largest manufacturer of toys employs about 7,000 people in Indonesia. It has two plants at Kawasan Industri Jababeka, Cikarang – Bekasi.

We visited Mattel Indonesia in 4 November 2022. During the visit, they explained the transition process to digital transformation 4.0 which includes automation and digitalization. They also shared the challenges faced and the possible solutions to tackle them. This led to the discussion and exchange of insights from the technology players and innovators present.
We also had tour to their factory where they explained the making process of their toy products. 75% of the overall process has been automated.

Site Visit to Telkom Indonesia
We visited Telkom Indonesia on the 4 November 2022, the last day of the AIBP program which makes the visit to Telkom as the ending of the program.
Telkom Indonesia shared business units in Indonesia, which is open to many possible forms of collaborations with technology players and innovators. As a part of their support of digital transformation in the local government sector, Telkom Indonesia invented Smart City Nusantara aiming to boost the adaptability of ICT technologies.

Living Lab Smart City Nusantara was built to provide know-how and guidance to smart city stakeholders, especially local governments regarding smart city implementation. Smart City Nusantara is divided into 4 zones, including the Smart Government Zone, Smart Industry Zone, Smart Citizen Zone, and Smart Infrastructure Zone. Each zone consists of several smart city products and solutions developed by the subsidiaries of the Telkom Group.
Five years into operation, Living Lab Smart City Nusantara continues to innovate to develop smart city products and solutions that can simplify the lives of Indonesian people. The scope of products offered by the Telkom Group to realize a smart city includes Infrastructure, Security, Health, Environment, Government Management, Tourism, Participation, Education, Regional Resources and Assets and Transportation.
