Human Resource (HR) departments are under immense pressure to manage a growing array of responsibilities, from recruitment and onboarding to employee engagement and compliance. Traditional methods often struggle to keep up, leading to inefficiencies and errors that can affect the entire organization. This is where AI-driven automation steps in, revolutionizing the way HR operates.
The integration of AI and automation into Human Resource (HR) operations is a fundamental shift in how businesses manage their most valuable asset—people. AI and automation offer a transformative solution, enabling HR to move from a purely administrative function to a strategic partner in driving organizational success. By automating repetitive tasks, AI frees up HR professionals to focus on high-impact areas like employee engagement or talent development.
Those that embrace AI-driven HR automation will be better positioned to attract, retain, and nurture talent, securing a sustainable advantage for the future.
Collaboration with Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCCI)
Recognizing this imperative, the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCCI) on 16th August 2024 hosted a workshop on “Streamline Your Work with AI Automation for Human Resource Professionals”. This was a second workshop Gleematic team had in collaboration with SCCCI to empower business professionals to leverage on AI and automation to streamline their business operations. The first workshop focused on finance professionals and was conducted in 12th July 2024.

Similar as the previous workshop but with different focus and target, this one-day workshop aimed at Human Resource professionals to leverage on AI-powered automation to automate their human resource operations. The workshop focused on sharing knowledge and training HR professionals to use AI-automation to streamline HR operations like payroll processing, applicants screening on job portals, HR reporting, work-passes renewal or application for foreign workers, and more.
The workshop provided a comprehensive overview of the latest AI technologies and their practical applications, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills they need to improve productivity and efficiency in their human resource operations.
We are honoured to have the second collaboration with SCCCI where we had the opportunity to showcase vour AI-automation software, Gleematic, as a no-coding automation software that can be used to streamline human resource operations. The main objective with Gleematic was to provide knowledge to participants in utilizing code-free automation software, with various AI features embedded such as image recognition, machine learning, and natural language processing. With this vast AI features, participants should be able to complete HR tasks 3-5 times faster with higher accuracy, and ultimately save up to 70% of operational costs.
Driving the Future of HR with HR Automation
Our CEO, Christopher Lim, reprised his role as a trainer in this workshop by delivering an insightful knowledge-sharing on Bringing More Productivity and Efficiency with AI & Autonomous Office”. This topic was catered for HR professionals to understand the concept of autonomous office and AI features, in order to be able to identify potential areas to implement them as well as familiarity in the practical applications of the tools. In this sharing session, participants were also expected to be able to understand what Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is, and when is it necessary for AI to augment RPA when it comes to complex process to automate. Ultimately, it was expected that this time presentation could be as fruitful and insightful as it was first delivered during the first workshop.
With the same event outline as its preceding workshop, this time Christopher Lim also provided hands-on training sessions where participants learned to develop and deploy AI-automation scripts without any coding knowledge. With this session, participants should be able to evaluate suitable HR processes for automation and use of AI, then be able to create automation scripts (using Gleematic) to automate those processes.
AI and Autonomous Office for Human Resource (HR)
Christopher Lim introduced “Autonomous Office” where AI and smart systems are extensively integrated to enhance productivity, efficiency, and employee experience. Key characteristics of such an office include the integration of automation and AI, data-driven decision-making, smart infrastructure, and employee empowerment.

In Human Resource, the use cases for automation are particularly promising. Processes such as payroll processing, applicants screening on job portals, HR reporting, work-passes renewal or application for foreign workers, onboarding employees, and more can be significantly streamlined through automation.
Christopher Lim through the presentation demonstrated more HR use-cases where AI-automation would be applicable:
Automating Recruitment Process
Gleematic can access job or recruitment portal to check candidates who apply to the position, collect their data to the internal document, and shortlist candidates based on recruiter’s criteria. Cognitive bots proceed to process initial assessment of candidates by sending them email and gradually checks if they have completed the assessment phase. Human staff in HR department only has to review assessment document completed by potential candidates.
Applicants Screening on Job Portals
This is also considered the automated recruitment process, specifically focused to automate the process of resumes screening and candidate sourcing on job portals. Gleematic can access job portals to collect resumes of applicants. Gleematic then ‘read’ the resumes despite the complexity of its template or form of document, thus can also intelligently identify and extract key data points. After extracting the resumes of potential candidates, the robot will put the data in a spreadsheet. Furthermore, the robot will send the spreadsheet by email to the rest of hiring team for a review.
Or in another process we can customize, we can leverage on AI algorithms to quickly sift through large volumes of resumes, identifying the best matches based on predefined criteria, reducing bias, and ensuring a fairer selection process – to “screen” the applicants.
Employees Onboarding
This includes automating employees’ document collection, scheduling employees’ training, compliance checks, etc.
Payroll Processing
AI automation significantly improves payroll processing by ensuring accuracy, speed, and compliance. It can automatically calculate salaries, deductions, and taxes, reducing the risk of errors that often occur with manual processing. AI can also handle variations in pay, manage complex payroll scenarios, and ensure that payments are made on time. Additionally, AI-driven systems continuously monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, keeping payroll compliant with the latest requirements.
Predict Employees’ Attrition with AI Machine Learning
Empowered by A.I. Machine Learning, cognitive bots can perform predictive analysis to prevent employee attrition. With predictive analysis, the robot can accurately predict the attrition rate of employees based on their employment records. Moreover, the robot can also predict who will likely to leave, why employees tend to leave, and analyze the key-risk factors affecting the high employee turn-over. With this capability, the robot can enlighten the human resource department to improve the way they engage loyal employees to stay in the company/organization.
Christopher Lim provided a hands-on training on this use-case, with objective not only getting participants to be familiarized setting-up automation script but also to have a practical experience in having HR process automated. Gleematic team provided the participants with a tutorial video that shows a step-by-step tutorial on how to set-up Gleematic script to automate the process of this predictive analysis aiming to predict employees’ likelihood to leave the company. Setting-up automation scripts might have been a challenge during the session but all participants and Gleematic team had a great time learning the new things together.
“Human-Robot Collaboration” Initiatives
This workshop stood as a pivotal example of advancing “Human-Robot Collaboration” initiatives, exploring how AI can harmoniously collaborate with human expertise to revolutionize financial processes.
By spotlighting AI as a tool for enhancing rather than replacing human capabilities, this workshop underscored a progressive approach to technology adoption: how AI-driven automation can handle repetitive tasks, and human resources to focus on high-level strategic endeavors and creative problem-solving. This vision aligns closely with the concept of “Human-Robot Collaboration,” where AI serves as a supportive partner in driving operational efficiency and innovation.
